Steven Gerrard to Madrid?

Steven Gerrard has recently admitted that he would still like to play for Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho. The special one has tried to sign Gerrard on 3 separate occasions, twice for Chelsea and once for Real Madrid however all 3 attempts were unsuccessful with Gerrard opting to stay for boyhood club Liverpool FC. FTR thinks this would be a good way for Stevie to end his career and finally get his hands on a domestic title but at 32 years of age time is certainly running out.

Florent Malouda who was banished to the sidelines bt new manager Roberto Di Matteo has been linked with a number of clubs in Brazil. Its highly unlikely Malouda will want to stay on the sidelines for much longer. FTR thinks he will most likely end up at Flamengo in January

Southampton boss Nigel Adkins is walking a tight rope at Southampton, they are yet to make an impact on the premiere league. The fans are beginning to lose patience and there are number of candidates who could replace him. Former West Ham footballer Paolo Di Canio is being linked with the job and he could be in as soon as January. FTR thinks this could definitely happen, the fans would love a passionate manager like Paolo.

Shalke hot shot striker Klas Jaan Huntelaar could be coming to the premier league in January. Tottenham and Liverpool are interested in signing the striker who is yet to agree a new deal with Shalke. His contract finishes at the end of the season and is currently averaging a goal a game. However his stock has risen significantly after netting a brace against Arsenal in the Champions League this week.

Harry Redknapp to manage Blackburn

Harry Redknapp who many people thought would be managing England right now has been linked to the Vacant post at Blackburn Rovers. It uncommon for a manager as successful as Harry would drop down to the championship but if you consider Sven Goran Eriksson at Leicester it’s not comepletely out of the ordinary.

We all know how much Harry loves moving to clubs with new owners, the Venky’s will most likely offer him a very lucrative package to lure him to the club. They could offer him additional transfer funds on top of a huge salary.

FTR thinks this could be on, Harry will go wherever he can at the moment as he is keen on getting back into management.

Nani to leave United in January

Manchester United wing wizard Luis Nani is ready to leave in the January Transfer Window after failing to agree terms on a new contract. Nani has fallen out of favour with the recent return of Ashley Young and Ferguson’s new diamond formation. He has frequently been left on the bench which Nani is unhappy with. Many clubs are hoping to sign Nani for a reported £8million which is short of United’s £20 million valuation. FTR thinks it is likely that he will leave in January, you can’t keep a Portuguese international on the bench.

Liverpool are lining up a sensational swoop for Ivorian powerhouse Didier Drogba, he will be free for around 2 months as the Chinese football season has now finished. Rodgers is keen on adding to his strikeforce after Borini suffered a foot injury whilst on international duty. However there are complications surrounding the insurance of Drogba, Drogba earns an astronomical amount which is a huge stumbling block for any club. FTR thinks this is complete rubbish, there is no way Drogba would come back to the premier league to play for any club but Chelsea.

Walcott to Juventus!

Juventus could lining up to swoop for young Arsenal winger Theo Walcott. Theo will be able to sign a pre contract with any club in January as he is now in the last year of his contract. Liverpool, City and Juventus have all been linked with the pacy forward however Theo’s wage demands could be a stumbling block. Wenger has offered Theo a new 5 year deal paying 75k a week however he is apparently holding out for 100k. Liverpool, City and Juventus could all offer this as they would not have to pay a transfer fee should they wait for his contract to expire. FTR thinks Wenger should sell the ungrateful little terd, Walcott is wasteful in front of goal and is most definitely not worth 100k a week. On your bike son!

Barca to sign Rooney

Barca are apparently ready to bid for Rooney after a dazzling display against Poland. Rooney managed to score a magnificent goal against World number 1 team Poland which has  caught the eye of many European clubs.

At club level Rooney’s form has been abysmal, rumour has it he is not happy playing second fiddle to Dutch hitman Robin Van Persie. He wants to be the main front man but has fallen down the pecking order. However Sir Alex Ferguson has not been happy with Rooney’s fitness, Sir Alex branded him a fat ugly c**t and threatened to pull off his wig if he didnt start to lose weight.

Sir Alex is now ready to sell him for around £40 million however Barca are not ready to bid that much. Barca have apparently  offered £2.50 and a bag of pork scratchings. Man City think that Utd should bite Barca’s hands off at that price as they were only prepared to offer £1.99 with an annual salary of 2 hair transplants and a free weight watcher’s course.

The Saga continues….

Falcao to Chelsea or City

Atletico Madrid have apparently started a bidding war between billionnaire clubs Chelsea and Man City. Atletico have publicly stated that Falcao could be sold in January should they get a high enough offer. Falcao is not short of suitors, Mourinho was also interested but branded Falcao as “forbidden fruit” just like Sergio Aguero.

Falcao is available for a rumours 50 million Euros which both clubs would have no problem with. FTR thinks most likely he will go to Chelsea, what would City do with 5 strikers on the books?

Darren Bent could be sold in January as he was recently stripped of his Captain’s arm band just 20 minutes before a game, his relationship with Lambert has broken down and he may want to move. Liverpool could be in for him now that Borini has been ruled out for a month or two with a broken foot. FTR thinks Bent will not be sold, Villa do not have any replacement strikers!

Wilfried Zaha could be joining up with AVB at Spurs, the wonderkid has been terrorising Championship defences this season with a number of dazzling displays down the wing. A fee of £8m is beeing mooted around and he could be joining as early as January. FTR thinks this could be on, Spurs would be the perfect club for him unless Arsenal get in on this one?

Vidic is a target for Russian big spenders Anzhi Makachakalalalalalakakaka, reports suggest Anzhi are ready to part with around 30 million Euros to bring Vidic back to Russia. FTR thinks this is complete rubbish, no one in their right mind would spend 30 million on an injury prone 30 year old defender.

Ashley Cole – Best Left Back in the World

Ashley Cole has been in the news a lot recently for all the wrong reasons. It all started with John Terry and the alleged racist abuse directed at QPR defender Anton Ferdinand who is also the younger brother of Cole’s England team mate Rio Ferdinand. Ashley Cole has supported his team mate JT and has defended him in court. What else are the public expecting him to do? Obviously he will support his team mate who he has played along side for the past 5 seasons. If Ashley doesnt think JT is racist then that’s up to him. FTR thinks that JT should not have called Anton a “Black *** ” but everyone makes mistakes and JT has had to pay for those mistakes but he will learn from this and won’t do it again.

Ashley now faces disciplinary action from the FA for a recent tweet he made where he labelled them a bunch of … He has since deleted this tweet and apparently he will be fined and given a ban.

FTR thinks that Ashley shouldn’t be banned and he should be made captain of the England squad for his 100th cap. After this game they should decide on his punishment. Ashley has been the best left back in the world for at least 10 years. FTR has never seen him have a bad game, every time he puts his England shirt on he plays with his heart on his sleeve. He puts a shift in every game and rarely puts a foot wrong.

Balotelli flys home! To AC Milan?

Mario Balotelli who was substituted just after half time in City’s game against Sunderland was spotted at Manchester Airport boarding a flight back to Italy. The controversial Italian was angry at being taken off so early in the game however Mancini’s decision was justified when Sergio Aguero scored within 5 minutes of being on the pitch. FTR thinks Mario really is a special player that can’t be managed. The only way to get him to perform is to sell him to AC Milan, the club that he has supported all his life.

Neymar has dropped the biggest hint yet that he is considering a move to Chelsea. He was quoted as saying that when one of the big 5 clubs comes calling, you must consider it. The 5 clubs he was supposedly referring to were the 2 Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Madrid and finally Barcelona. Oscar has also been persuading his countryman to join him, having someone who speaks the same language is always a bonus. FTR thinks this could definitely happen especially with the financial crisis in Spain.

Stefan Jovetic is close to agreeing a deal with the current PL champions, Man City for a fee in the region of 20m. If Mario Balotelli is sold, this rumour could be true however if he isnt sold we can’t see City holding on to 5 strikers.

FTR would like to give some support to Ashley Cole, despite his recent rant at the FA. Cole remains the best Left Back in the business no questions asked. He has been a loyal servant to England and deserves some respect.

Wenger is apparently planning to spend 35m in the January transfer window! FTR thinks this is complete rubbish, Wenger has deep pockets and short hands!

Tom Ince to sign for Man Utd in January?

A number of online blogs are reporting that Blackpool and Man Utd are in advanced negotiations over the transfer of former Liverpool player Tom Ince who is the son of Utd legend Paul Ince. Sir Alex Ferguson has recently been spotted having lunch with Paul Ince supposedly to discuss the transfer of Paul’s Son. Sir Alex has apparently sanctioned a  £5 bid for Ince who has less than a year to run on his current deal. Ince signed for Blackpool from Liverpool over a year ago after making very few appearances for Liverpool.

Many Liverpool fans are still wandering why such a promising youngster was allowed to leave for a reported £500 000.

FTR thinks this is not true, if Ince could not make it into the Liverpool squad who are struggling how will he make it into the Utd squad who have Nani, Valencia, Giggs and Young who are all capable of playing out wide.

01/10/12 Transfer Rumours

According to the papers, Ronaldo is unhappy at Madrid despite winning the title last year by defeating the Catalans. Ronaldo recently refused to celebrate his goals when hitting 2 past Granada which led to doubts over his future in Madrid. Many papers are reporting that the former world player of the year is after a pay rise. When signing for Madrid he was made the highest paid player in the world however recent transfers have moved him further down the football rich list. Wayne Rooney, Samuel Eto, Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba are now all earning more money then Ronaldo in other countries

This has alerted the likes of super rich clubs like Man City and PSG who could possibly make him the highest paid player in the world. Should Madrid wish to sell him the bidding will start at 100 million euros. Equal to the sum paid to Man Utd in 2009.

FTR thinks that there are many clubs that would love to have Ronaldo but he still has 3 years left to run on his 200k a week after tax contract. FTR can’t see him being sold for less than 150 million euros.
